Back...

I've been gone quite awhile. It's Q4 in the retail world which means I'm slammed at work. And, we have been in Hawaii - Kona and Kauai to be exact. Oh, how I wish I were still there!!!

Below are a several pictures from our Hawaii trip.

I'm trying to get back into the whole outfit posting thing. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with this blog much longer as I have a family blog I need to manage first, and that's barely happening right now. We shall see. Until that decision, I leave you with -

We went to Anthropologie today to return a skirt and my intentions were good - no plans to look at much and no plans to try on anything. Well, it started with running into the Nicoleta Blouse I was eyeing last night on their website....so I grabbed it. Then I stopped by the sale rack and thought I'd try on this mustard jacket. And, since I still have not tried on the Noon & Night dress, I grabbed that, too.

I'm not sure what this jacket's name is and don't see it on the site. It was super comfy, I loved the color, but the $69.95 sale price was a bit hefty when there are other items on my wishlist I want more. Pass.

Nicoleta Blouse. In love! I'm on the hunt for a light, solid button-up blouse I can pair with skirts and jeans. However, I wasn't going to pay more than $50 for one that was plain jane and boring. I love the yoke neckline and ruffles. I really wanted it in ivory to pair with some of my skirts, but they didn't have my size. But, I fell in love with the blouse in Orange and decided to pay full price for it. I wish it were a little longer but it will be perfect to tuck in to higher waisted skirts. Going Home.

Thank goodness my birthday is next month. I will be bringing home the Noon & Night dress. I love how it has a little stretch in it. It is unbelievably comfortable and super cute on. I didn't take any pics because the orange Nicoleta blouse underneath was an eyesore:) Shoot, if I don't wear the top I bought before 11/1, I'm taking it back to get the 15% off on it.

Anyway, enjoy the rest of  your weekend. We might be heading to a pumpkin patch tomorrow if the weather cooperates!

Quotes

I've always had a love for quotes. You can find them on my Facebook page, at the bottom of my Gmail e-mails, and printed and stuck to my bathroom mirror when I was in high school. Problem is, there's just way too many great ones! I had fun on Pinterest tonight repinning several I liked.

All I can say is “these ROCK” from the color all the way down to the comfort!

Back to a Routine

Now that Labor Day and work travels are over, it's time to get my butt back in workout mode. I love to workout and used to be one of those die hard, 6 days a week crazies but after I had my little and work got busier, I've neglected it. And, I'm not proud of that...or the muscle I've lost! So, time to get things back in order here.

To rev things up a bit and get me in the workout mood, I thought I'd share with you my workout must-haves as well as my "get pumped up" playlist.
My Workout Essentials

Lululemon is my go-to brand for most of my workout apparel. Primarily a yoga apparel store, they are now expanding their selection to running and cycling! If you don't own any lulu, you're missing out!

ASICS Gel Kayano have always been the running shoe of choice for me. However, I'm kind of wanting to try the Nike Free shoes. Anyone have them and can provide feedback?

I can't live without music or good headphones so I use my really old Nano and a pair of Klipsch earbuds I was gifted when I was a headphones buyer. They're expensive but once you have a nice pair of headphones, you can't go back to the cheapies. The sound quality and clarity plus the fit are amazing!

And, the beloved Nike Tempo running shorts. I cannot live without these! I've been wearing them for years and these are about the only brand/style I recommend. Very comfortable and give you a long, lean look.

Here are songs you can find me working out to:
Usher "More"
Lady Gaga "Just Dance"
Rhianna "Rude Boy"
Rhianna "S&M"
Black Crowes "Remedy"
Jason Aldean "She's Country"
Kanye West "Stronger"
Kesha "Tik Tok"

And, what I wore to work today.

Anthropologie Moth wrap, Banana Republic jeans, Sam Edelman flats

So tell me, what are your workout essentials and favorite tunes?

Short & Sweet

We made it back to Seattle safe and sound after an amazing long weekend in San Juan Island. A day later, I left for Indy for a consumer electronics show and now I'm finally home. I'm definitely too tired to type so this will be short & sweet. Stay tuned about our trip as it's a destination I highly recommend!

Until then, I leave you with -

 A little teaser....

And, what I wore tonight to dinner.

On Our Way to the Islands

My parents have arrived! And, we're heading to the San Juan Islands tomorrow! Upon their arrival, we ate at the beautiful Edgewater Hotel, where bands like Led Zeppelin & the Beatles stayed and played when they came to Seattle. Lunch was soooooooooo good! I also showed them Amazon's new offices and we're laying low before heading on the ferry to the islands tomorrow. I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!

What I wore today:

Banana Republic vest
Anthropologie cuff, earrings, & handbag
Necklace - can't remember
